Much of the Museum's programming involves school children. More than a dozen suitcase kits produced by the Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society have travelled throughout the public school system. In-Museum programs, designed to complement the Ontario curriculum introduce students to the fascinating heritage of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. In a typical year, as many as 120 classes representing as many as 4,000 students will visit the Museum, and hundreds more will take advantage of recreational programs offered during the summer, on P.A. Days and on holidays.
