Programs
&
Programming has always been a
critical part of Much of the Museum's programming involves school children. More than a dozen suitcase kits produced by the Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society have travelled throughout the school systems. In-Museum programs, designed specifically for each grade level, introduce students to the fascinating heritage of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. In a typical year, as many as 120 classes representing as many as 4,000 students will visit the museum, and hundreds more will take advantage of programs offered during the summer and on holidays.
To cater to those unable to visit our
building, the Museum operates its own extension
service program with displays of in-house design
touring the district while within the city of Thunder
