Originally from Red Lake, Gillian graduated from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University in 2013 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in June, 2014.
While in law school, Gillian ran the PATHS Less Travelled Conference, an annual student run conference designed to educate students about the employment opportunities in rural and Northwestern Ontario. The conference also focused on the unique opportunities available working as in house counsel and as a sole practitioner. Gillian was also a member of the Correctional Law Project where she represented inmates at Bath and Millhaven Institutions before the National Parole Board and the institutional disciplinary courts.
Gillian has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Assessment Review Board, the National Parole Board and the Millhaven Institution Disciplinary Board.
Gillian is practicing in the areas of Wills and Estates and Residential Real Estate.
