Farhan is the Executive Director of the Lakehead University Student Union.  He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Lakehead University and is a community leader, youth mentor, and governance professional.

In 2017 Farhan was the recipient of the City of Thunder Bay’s Respect Award for his work in bringing Culture Days to the University and working as an executive member of the University Service of Canada Student Refugee Program. 

His interests include community organizing, politics, and diversity & inclusion.
