This is a cribbage board game from the 1880’s. This game consists of a wooden board with various inlaid wooden face and inlaid ivory (type unknown). It was used by the railroad construction crew from the Canadian Pacific Railway, when they were building the railway between Schreiber and Nipigon. Cribbage was created in the 1600’s by Sir John Suckling, derived from the game Noddy. Cribbage, or Crib for short, is played with a deck of cards, a peg board, and pegs.
