This ship in a bottle was made by a WWII German POW at Camp Angler. Inside you will find a four-masted schooner with a small steamboat in front. The Background consists of green cliffs with a lighthouse and houses. It is made of wood and clay which is then colourfully painted.
A ship in a bottle is also called an impossible bottle as it contains an object that would not fit through the bottle’s mouth. There are a few ways in which an object can be placed inside: building the object inside the bottle, using an object that expands inside the bottle, or molding the glass around the object.
