Description
The Street Names of Thunder Bay is an indispensable local-history reference exploring the origins of the city’s street names. Researched by Diane Grant and published by the Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society, this book traces the people, places, events, planning decisions, and older street names that shaped Fort William, Port Arthur, and the communities that became Thunder Bay.
Drawing on archival sources, registered plans, municipal records, maps, and community knowledge, the book is a practical resource for researchers, genealogists, educators, planners, and anyone who has ever wondered why a Thunder Bay street is called what it is.
