Description
Monica Belluz has been an employee of the Thunder Bay Museum since 1993. Her favourite part of her job is interacting with the public daily. With formal training as a visual artist, her artistic skills have been utilized at the museum on various projects, from creating a backdrop painting to arranging artifacts for display. You can find her art prints, cards, and original jewelry among the merchandise for sale in the museum’s gift shop.
Monica’s artwork has been exhibited in several group shows throughout her career. She has been instructing art to children and adults for over 14 years. Her employment in the theatre involved holding the position of Head of Props and Scenic Painting at Magnus Theatre in Thunder Bay and Junior Scenic Artist at the Stratford Festival of Canada. Her eye for design has led her toward decorating for weddings and corporate events. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing a pool game, going on nature walks, participating in community events, and spending time with her family and special pet Bailey.
