The World at Your Fingertips: The Early Days of HAM Radio

Charles McDonald was a pioneer in the field of radio communications. He was constructing his own equipment and experimenting with radio waves as early as 1906, and was soon able to pick up long-distance signals and transmit to other Ham radio operators around the world.

Most of the equipment displayed here was made and used by Mr. McDonald in the years before 1930. Some of it is of such high quality it would compare favourably to modern receivers and transmitters.
