At the Thunder Bay Museum, we believe that history is best preserved and shared together. We actively seek out partnerships with organizations, institutions, artists, and community groups that align with our mission to tell inclusive, relevant, and engaging stories about the people and places of Northwestern Ontario.
Whether it’s co-developing a program, supporting a shared cause, or simply amplifying each other’s work — we are open to creative, impactful collaborations.
Examples of partnership opportunities:
- Co-hosted events or exhibits with schools, cultural groups, or non-profits
- Cross-promotion with local festivals, business improvement areas (BIAs), or tourism providers
- Educational program delivery with libraries, educators, or Indigenous knowledge holders
- Collaborative research with universities, museums, or historical societies
- Joint funding proposals (e.g., Ontario Trillium Foundation, OAC, Canadian Heritage)
We especially welcome partnerships that:
- Amplify underrepresented voices
- Support youth engagement, arts integration, or reconciliation work
- Involve in-kind support such as space, services, or supplies
